Seaweed

When I was young I used to hate seaweed, it seemed almost like a creature out to get you when you were swimming...the texture, the colours and the smell .... really off-putting. There appears to be less of it around now and having seen it from the sea floor it's a lot more interesting. Useful for many things there is (of course) a website dedicated to it.

I love sushi too, Lorraine, so I do love to eat it! But I admit I don't like swimming and touching seaweed! Slimy!

To me it always belonged to the fascinating things you can find at the beach. Just didn't like too much around me when I'm in the water...

Seaweed still scares the crap out of me. Nice photo, but it might give me nightmares tonight.

My brother and I used to throw it at each other on the beach when we were little. There is one type that has little bubbles in it that we would pop. Cool shot.
